Curriculum 

1. English Language Arts:

• Literature: Study of classic and contemporary literature, including novels, poetry, and plays. Focus on analyzing literary themes, characters, and symbolism.
• Writing: Emphasis on research papers, persuasive essays, analytical writing, and personal reflections. Development of advanced writing skills, including coherence, argumentation, and citation.
• Language: Vocabulary building, advanced grammar, rhetorical strategies, and presentation skills (e.g., speeches, debates).

2. Mathematics:

• Calculus or Advanced Mathematics: Differential and integral calculus, limits, derivatives, integrals, and applications. Advanced topics such as differential equations and optimization.
• Statistics: Basic probability, statistical analysis, data interpretation, and hypothesis testing. Understanding of inferential and descriptive statistics.

3. Science:

• Physics: Advanced topics in mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, waves, optics, and modern physics.
• Chemistry: Organic chemistry, advanced chemical reactions, equilibrium, thermodynamics, and kinetics.
• Biology: Topics in genetics, evolution, ecology, cellular processes, and biotechnology.

4. Social Studies:

• Government & Politics: Focus on political theory, government structures, political ideologies, and international relations.
• Economics: Advanced topics in microeconomics and macroeconomics, economic systems, economic policy, and global economics.
• History: Study of modern history, including world conflicts, globalization, revolutions, and the political and social changes of the 20th and 21st centuries.

5. Physical Education & Health:

• Physical Education: Advanced physical conditioning, sports, fitness routines, and teamwork.
• Health: Topics on mental health, sexual education, substance abuse prevention, nutrition, and personal well-being.

6. Foreign Language (optional):

• Advanced language courses: Continuation of language studies (Spanish, French, German, etc.), with a focus on fluency, complex grammar, and cultural immersion.
• Literature studies in the foreign language: Reading and analyzing texts in the original language.

7. Art & Music:

• Visual Arts: Advanced art techniques, portfolio creation, art history, and exposure to various artistic media.
• Music: Advanced music theory, instrumental or vocal performance, and music composition.
• Theater/Drama: Advanced acting techniques, directing, stage production, and the study of classic plays.

8. Technology & Computer Science:

• Advanced Computer Science: Programming (Python, Java, etc.), data structures, algorithms, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
• Digital Media: Web development, digital design, multimedia production, and video editing.
• Cybersecurity: Basics of protecting information, networks, and systems from cyber threats.

9. Electives (varies by school):

• Electives such as Advanced Placement (AP) courses, vocational courses, business studies, psychology, sociology, economics, and entrepreneurship.
• Specialized courses in areas like environmental science, media studies, or criminology.

10. Life Skills:

• Career Readiness: Resume building, interview techniques, job search strategies, and career counseling.
• Financial Literacy: Budgeting, investing, managing debt, taxes, and planning for post-graduation financial independence.
• College Preparation: Guidance for college applications, including personal statements, interviews, scholarships, and standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT).

11. Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) Courses (optional):

• Students may opt to take AP or IB courses in subjects such as History, English, Science, Mathematics, and Foreign Languages, earning college credit for successful completion.

12. Test Preparation:

• Preparation for standardized tests (e.g., SAT, ACT, or subject-specific exams).
• Focus on time management, test-taking strategies, and college admissions processes.
