Grade 2
Curriculum
In Grade 2, students build on the foundation established in Grade 1 while enhancing their cognitive and social skills.
- Language Development:
- English: Simple stories, phonics, grammar (nouns, verbs), and sentence construction.
- Hindi/Regional Language: Vocabulary building, basic grammar (gender, numbers), and simple sentence formation.
- Mathematics: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, number patterns, and introduction to measurement (length, weight).
- Environmental Studies (EVS): Concepts of plants, animals, seasons, and understanding the world around them.
- Arts & Crafts: Introduction to different art techniques and simple paper craft.
- Physical Education: Developing coordination, balance, and introduction to team games and activities.
- Moral Science: Lessons on social values like sharing, caring, and respecting others.
